About the Programme
The Belfast Digital Health Technology Place Based Impact Accelerator Account (PBIAA) supports collaborations between universities, industry, and civic organisations to accelerate digital healthcare innovation in Belfast, Northern Ireland and beyond.
The programme provides funding, leadership development, and collaborative projects that address specific opportunities and needs, supporting the translation of research into real-world healthcare impact.
What is a PBIAA?
Place Based Impact Accelerator Accounts (PBIAAs) are a central element of UKRI–EPSRC’s Place strategy, supporting programmes of impact activities that strengthen partnerships and drive regional growth, informed by both national priorities and local context.
They feature consortium-led delivery which supports collaborations between universities, civic partners, and businesses, aligned to local ambitions.

Bringing together emerging healthcare technology leaders from academia, business and clinical/civic organisations to share knowledge, address gaps, develop insight and explore opportunity.
